Toys into relief work ? On request from the president and on advice from her dear Mum, Petite Puce sends her favorite toys, Pinok and Barbie, to children on the other side of the world who have no toys of their own. The toys imagine they’re going on a cruise but they soon get the picture, chock-a-block in the ship’s hold, reality is quite different and they land in a country ravaged by civil wars where children are enlisted to be soldiers and kill and steal and die... Lisa Wurmser has been moved by this poetic and ironic political tale by Jean-Claude Grumberg : this play for dolls, puppets and actors is a beautiful journey to teach children not to be afraid of the long and unique journey of life.
